The evolution of the SLR

To mark the release of the brand new SLR, Alex Paton from GCN - Global Cycling Network came to visit our headquarters in Asolo (Italy) to learn more about the design and 25 year history behind the newest generation.

The evolution of the SLR

Alex took a trip through cycling heritage by checking out iconic saddles like the Turbo and Flite, which laid the foundation for the creation of the first SLR in 1999. The SLR has always been the saddle that pushes the boundaries of what's possible with advanced materials and minimalist design.

To fully understand how far the SLR has come over the years, Alex used idmatch Pressure Map to see how his pressure distribution has changed from the first generation to the fourth generation. By combining over 120 years of saddle making expertise with data from thousands of bike fits, we’ve been able to make the most comfortable and performance focused SLR yet.
